Summer break is here.
And boy has it been busy!
You see, we are leaving the country next weekend for 6 weeks (EEEEEEEEEEEK!) and are scrambling around planning the trip (because, uhhhhh, other stuff - school! - got in the way of the planning?) and taking care of last minute house things. Well, not necessarily "last minute", but things we want done before we leave the country for a bit.
It's all very exciting.
And somewhat stressful.
But I am learning to roll with it all.
Being OK with not having a routine.
Not working out.
Me?!?!I know! LOL.
Being OK with the unpredictability.
Because that's life, right?
We are getting to know our new home better, and working on mini-house projects as we settle in. (and trying not to be overwhelmed by how much needs to be done!)
Like organizing our library.
Replacing 17 door knobs.
Picking out paint colors.
Getting to know our outdoor critters.
Adventures in electric lawn-mowing. (a first for me!)
Putting together my life-long dream ...
...a Steinway!
(I don't own it, but have the pleasure of "house sitting")
...and a music studio!
And my husband's dream of remodeling our kitchen...
And enjoying his amazing cooking.
And good wine.
And falling asleep with wine while my husband takes selfies (welcome to my life ... LOL!)
Because life is what happens between coffee and wine, right?
Here's to summer shenanigans!
Do what makes you happy.
